The given pie charts and table reveal the statistical
data regarding the total value and sources of fish imported to the US in the
recorded year of 1988, 1992, and 2000. Overall, the most significant fact that
emerge was that the fish which were majorly imported from Canada and others in
all recorded years with relative changes experienced a gradual increase of
price between 1988 and 2000.
Turning into detail scrutiny, in 1988, when the total
amount of imported fish was valued 6.57 billion dollars by the United States, Canada
become the biggest exporter of fish which contributed 60% of the total
percentage. On the other hand, China and other sources exported minimal number
of 13% and 27% respectively. Shifting to 1992, the imported fish was priced
8.52 billion dollars, 1.95 billion dollars more expensive. While the imported
fish proportion from Canada plummeted to 34% with drop of almost half, other
sources filled the gap of the US fish demand, recovered it to almost double
which was 46% and became the greatest fish exporter at that recorded year.
Similarly, China also escalated its percentage of exported fish to the US to 20%,
growing up 7%. However, it was still the last contributive exporter in 1992.
In 2000, Canada continued to minimize its exported
fish amount to the United States to only 28%, drop of 6%, and ended the
recorded period as the last contributive exporter after being the biggest one
in the first year. On the other hand, in spite of declining 4% of supplied fish
percentage to 42%, other sources were still the hugest source of fish started
from the preceding year. Similarly, China kept supplying a rising number of
fish which was 30%, 10% jumping. With 2.2 billion dollars increasing, the total
fish in this year was valued 10.72 billion dollars.
