The table below shows the consumer durables (telephone, refrigerator, etc.) owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983.
Sample Answer:
The provided table compares the percentages of
electronic household appliances owned by Britain Families in 1972 to 1983. Overall,
the most significant fact that emerges is that while television was the most popular
household appliance, dishwasher and video were the rarest appliances among
Britain in the entire recorded years.
Turning into closer analysis,
Televisions and vacuum cleaner were always popular among Britain that the total
ownership percentages for these appliances were 96.12% and 91.71% respectively.
However Britain stopped using vacuum cleaner in 1983. Similarly, Britain
families discerned refrigerator and washing machine as essential and the usage
of this electronic appliances keep escalating from 73% and 66% in the opening
recorded year to 94% and 80% in the ending year of 1983 respectively. Correspondingly,
Britain people operating telephone and central heating percentage were
gradually climbing up from 42% and 39% in 1972 to 77% and 64% in the end of the
recorded year consecutively. In stark contrast, dishwasher which was first
introduced on 1978 was not really needed by Britain that only 3% to 5% of them
wanting to buy it. Similarly, video, which was the most modern electronic device
in the data that was first introduced in the last recorded year, only have 18%
of Britain families owning it.
