The given table portrays the breakdown of the number
of students entering four secondary school types in the recorded year of 2000,

declined relatively year to year, community schools’ attendee proportion kept
escalating significantly each year.
Turning into closer analysis, in 2000,
voluntary-controlled school was the most attended school type where 52% of
student proportion opted to study there. It was then followed by grammar
schools with 24% of attendees. The other two of school types which were
specialist and community schools were attended by the same figure of 12%. Shifting
to 2005, when the average school types declined in pupil percentages,

was 38%. However, it lost 14% of its attendee compared to the previous year. Community
school sat in the second position which was 32%. It was the only school type
with the soaring number of attendees, 20% increasing. Grammar schools, with a
slight fall of 5% were attended by 19% of student proportion. Specialist schools also experienced a
decreasing number of attendee which was 11%, lack of its 1%.
In 2009, it was dominated by community schools which
were attended by 58% of the total student proportion, almost doubled the previous
figure, whereas it was in the lowest place in the first recorded year. The
attendee of voluntary-controlled schools, grammar schools, and special schools
fell down to 20%, 12%, and 10% respectively. Voluntary controlled schools’
attendee percentage plummeted of almost half of its attendee compared to the
preceding year. Similarly, the figure of grammar schools’ attendee also
declined 7%. Furthermore, specialist schools still only experienced a slight
drop of 1% of the school attendee proportion.
